Pink, Polka dots and Heidi Swapp oh my!!!

I was minding my own business and was reading one of my favorite blogs Heidi Swapp, she is incredibly talented and a rock'n mama. She posted about this new scrapbook store opening up in Houston Texas, any of you Texans out there if ya live in the area and are a "paper lover" go visit the store for me since I won't be able to anytime soon. It's the middle of June already???

Well the summer has begun in the Farnsworth household. School was out June 13, the 14th and 15 we did nufing!! well the kids did nufing I worked my job for a few hours. This week Monday I was up bright and early with my dh making breakfast and coffee and ironing his clothes. He works summer school and it goes thru the end of July. Which means he will be home for about a whole month in August ok I LUFF my dh but after about a week it's like "can you go get a job for the rest of the summer"..LOL he just messes up my schedule. So anyways oldest son is in basketball camp m-fr 8-11:30 Daughter is doing cheer camp th-fri 9-12. Other son does batting on Tuesday, practice Wednesday and cages on Friday. Me well I squeeze what I can in between all of there schedules. Oh yeah and this weekend is a BIGGY we will celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary on June 24th, does that sound craaaaaaaaaazy or what?? But guess where we will be on the 24th, yup at a tournament basketball game, all I know I told the coach they are going to win since I"m spending my anni in a gym!!LOL

oooooo and what a beautimus color!!! My Favorite yellowwwwww. I made creme brulee with this kind of mixer once and man talk about YUMMINESS!!! It was fantabulous. So I have been wanting one of these babies for everrrrrrrr, my best friends out there if ya really love me I know you'd want to buy this for me for my birthday even tho it's what five months away!!!LOL

Ok do you see that, YES IT'S A BOBCAT. I walk down three steps from my front porch and voila a table with a tired bobcat is what I saw. I told you we get critter's!!!eeeeks

Now in fourth grade we do the "California" project and my daughter picked "San Diego". This one was easier but please don't notice I forgot to put the water by Shamu, he's just jumping outta thin air basically happy this project is over!!!LOL She was very proud because to the right are 14 pictures and she was the only one that had that many, a big high five to me thank you very much!!LOL The left side was the map of san diego and a timeline which came out very cool to. lol ok ok she wrote her own paper which was five pages!!! All I can say I am glad the PROJECTS ARE OVER!!! until next year that is.....

And of course the BIG PROJECT DISPLAY BOARD, this was part of my sixth graders country report. I helped him type 18 pages for his report, can you believe that he wrote that much. The country he picked was Australia. Ok please notice my handy work,,,ok ok ok no dissing me for helping you all know you help your kids, and if you say you don't your lying!!LOL ok j/k. I handmade the flags the "aboriginal" one was easy but the Australia one was a bit more time consuming. My son drew the maps you see on the left and right and there's more on the back sides. The title was my friends idea it's the sun with the name of the country thru it, I found some boomerang stickers and used that as the border underneath and attached a souvenir koala my friend gave me a few years back when she went to australia to visit her husbands family.

Ok now this one, you all have to comment..LOL this is me and three of my sisters with my mom on Mother's day. We went to Victoria Gardens a new shopping center here California. I just have to mention the big boobed girl on the far left is me, LOL just kidding it's my sister she got the "job" done a few months back can ya tell she likes them!!!LOL

Dont'cha just hate ordering prints!!!

Ok so tonight I go to Sam's club to order some prints, ok not just some but more like 321!!!! Is that scary or what?.......Oy' It took me 45 minutes to edit and go thru what I wanted. I even forgot what pictures I took.lol. They were mainly of mothers day, baseball games and my son Cole's Olympiad thingy he's doing for sixth grade!! Which reminds me I need to vent!!LOL There are four sixth grade class's and they all are participating in this "Olympiad" it's a two day event which the Academic part was held this past friday. This coming friday is the parade, games and feast. Well our class was nominated to be in charge of the food. Ok this school that my kids go to, you can say most of the families are well off. The thing is me and the other room mom never ever or hardly get help there are like 2 other mom's from a class of 32 that help us. Ok so were in charge of getting the food for this feast, were told to "just order from where we got it last year". Ok the thinking that some of these women on the PFA have is "we pay for it up front and they will reimburse us". Well the cost for the food so far is $661.86 to be exact and the "little peeps" that are in charge of the 6th grade funds said it will take two weeks to cut us a check and oooooo "why don't we just put it on our charge card". OK SCUUUUUUZE me, NOT!!! I know they will pay but I just thought it quite rude to just expect me or the other mom to foot the bill upfront and then have to wait two to three weeks to be reimbursed our money, I'm sorry but I don't have "just $700" laying around and I don't like putting stuff on my card like that. So when I told the "PFA president" she got all huffy and just said fine I'll do it, of course she didn't say it to my face but in a short email to me, because she knows I'd seriously have to verbally lay into her!!! UGH does anyone else out there hate the "clique's" that go on in school's and I'm not talking about the kids but the adults!!!! Man two more years and I"m done with this school!!! Jr High and High school is way easier after going to this school!!!LOL

Well where have I been???

Ok so far all of the "two" readers that read my blog, SORRYYYYYYYYY. I can't believe it's been way over a month since I last blogged. BUT FIRST, DID YA NOTICE THE NEW LOOK? My very good friend "Deanna, domestchicky" made the banner and the background, and she included one of my all time favorite quotes. Does it rock or what??!!!

Before I go I will say this last month and a 1/2 has been absolutely crazy!!! But can I say SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!!!! I can not wait until school is out, I HATE PROJECTS AND HOMEWORK!!!LOL Last week was a nightmare, I typed a 18 page country report for my sixth grader (yes 18 pages, sixth grade??) I made a display board for my fourth grader who did her report on "San Diego" ok not just one thing in San Diego but allllll of San Diego!!LOL Then I also did the display board for my son's country report on Australia, I have to say both came out nice!!! Anyone in need of display boards for your future 4th or 6th grader I will sell them to the highest bidder!!LOL....

So not only did I do the above but I also worked four out of five days, did I mention I am a merchandiser for Hawaiian Tropic the suntan lotion company. Of course I still did the regular stay at home mom stuff like laundry, cook and somewhat clean!!!lol

Easter and my Son's 12 birthday makes for a busy mama!!!

Yup, we had Easter and a Birthday!!! My son Cole turned 12 today!! Wow, I still can't believe my boy's are growing up ;o(. Here's some pic's of today we had a lot of fun and I had a lot of fun using my new camera....woohooo. The next picture's are him opening his "presents" if I could put audio with his reactions ooo man, I was laughing so much. He was very excited can you tell!!! They colored eggs last night, opened there Easter baskets this morning, I made them eggs, bacon and hashbrowns for breakfast. The picture of my daughter and son with the intense look on his face, they actually liked the breakfast they were just chewing when I took the picture..LOL My son wanted "chicken nuggets and "Texas Toast" for dinner, mama had to add the vegetable which he quickly noticed and said "i didn't order that"..LOL. He wanted a choclate with white frosting baseball cake. Don't laugh at the crookedness of my lines on the cake I was up until 3:00 am this morning and mama just had a little shaky hands this morning making the cake. I had bought shirts and a dress for my daughter all in the same color's my oldest didn't want to wear it but all I have to do is remind him how long I was in labor with him and he'll do anything for me..LOL...ahhhh mama pulling thee'ole guilt trip. Tomorrow were off to Disneyland and California Adventure, so I'll see you peeps wednesday with my "adventure" update.

Happy Easter or what I like to say....

Resurrection Day!!! I love Easter!!! Ok it is 2:38 and I'm wide awake??? I just finished wrapping my son Cole's birthday presents. Yes his birthday lands on EASTER, he is turning 12 and not only gets his regular presents but his Easter basket to. I think my husband went just a tad overboard with the presents, oyvey. My oldest got a movie he wanted and my daughter got an mp3 player it's "pink" totally girly, just love that!!! The one she wanted cost more and I think she only wanted it because of the blingage on it, so mama is going to get her some stick on blingage I saw at the scrapbook store and she can put as much bling as she wants on the player..lol The birthday boy got a cereal box with Alex Rodriguez on the front. Ok I know your saying "a cereal box" my son now, thanks to dh is now a collector of Yankee baseball stuff. He also got some baseball cards, signed picture, NY banner, NY penant, little men, it's all about baseball. Since tradition on birthdays the kids get to pick what they want to eat he chose of course my "chicken tenders and texas toast"...lol and mom will add the veggie in to. For his cake it's a baseball with the number 12 sitting on top, chocolate with vanilla frosting. I'll get pic's up later ooooooooooo and I got a new camera,,,yippers skippers. Have a blessed and wonderful Easter.....

This one is fom my sons book it's "halloween" but they don't call it that at his school they call it Literature Day so as not to "offend" anyone?? It's really simple, nothing fancy.
This next one is just various pic's of my son being silly in kindergarten. The one pic of him in the red wig, the teacher said he would put everything on that was in the dress up bin and play for the whole recess with all the stuff he had. He was into "dressing" up back then..LOL




The next one is of his Kindergartin Circus, my first time using "paint" on the title and ribbon on the layout. Again nufing fancy pretty simple to me. I think I got the idea out of CreatiingKeepsakes mag a sketch I saw in there.

"Proud to be your son mama"

this is what my son Cole says to me everynight. My response "proud to be your mama" then he replies "that's what I like to hear". He's the coolest kid I know and my "cowboy". Here he is at his 6th grade play, he was the "crew" onstage and they had donuts after the play. We caught him taking the whole box, of course after all the kids got one. Look at his cheeks had just stuffed his mouth!!!lol.....

Mom of the Year??

ok so I'm listening to "RickDees" on Moving 93 point something..LOL and there having a contest for kids. Yeah they write a 150 word essay about why there mom should be picked for "MomoftheYear". So as there talking about it I look over at the kids like "uhhh helloooooooo you better get to writing" my daughter then says "mom can't you just write it and we'll sign it"..LOL...so clever huh!! I actually think I should be nominated for two categories "Mom of the Year and WIFE OF THE CENTURY!!!! Can I just end with this being a Mom is a piece of cake, now ask me how easy being a WIFE is after this morning I had and it's only 8:20 a.m IT'S ROUGH I TELL YA, I seriously need to chat with the Lord about him, ohhhh did I say that out loud, I meant me of course!!!heheheheh

p.s. and the prize for the MOM A NEW 2007 VERSA!!!!

Braces Rock!!!!

Ok so today was not just your typical MONDAY. Nooo today my oldest son you know the "teenagerrrrrrrrr" got his braces taken off!!! Here's a pic of him on his birthday with the lovely basketball looking cake I made. My kids love me to make there cakes. He was so excited and could hardly wait until his friends "noticed". I asked him if he was going to say anything or tell his friends, he just said "i'll wait but if they don't say anything then I'll say something". Can I also say BRACES ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE and I'm purrrrrrdy sure my lovely princess will need them tooooo.....anyone need a house cleaner, I think I need a job!!LOL Here he is with the braces off, the office girls gave him a gift with three things he wasn't suppose to eat during the whole time he had his braces, "soda, candy with nuts and a bag of corn nuts". Ok he never ate corn nuts or the candy with nuts but he did drink sprite ;) of course he did have the occassional plain chocolate!! Isn't he just sooooo handsome,,,,,of course his daddy had nothing to do with it!!lol

This party ROCKS!!!, and today was a long day!!!

I am having a great time visiting other mama blogs. What a great thing to do, thank you fiveminutesfourmom hosting this HUMONGOUS party!!! If you haven't been click on the link on the sidebar and see what this party is all about.

So today started off early for me. Woke up at 6:45 started breakfast for my son and husband got them fed and out the door for a baseball practice at 8:00am. Then I drove my older son to basketball practice which was from 9-11. We then headed on over to the mall to get his much needed DWAYNE WADE SHOES because you know they will surely make him jump higher!!LOL Ok and can I just say THOSE TENNIS SHOES WERE FLIPPIN EXPENSIVE, never have I spent a $107.00 on a pair of shoes let alone "tennis/basketbal shoes",,,,I told him no more until his toe is popping out the front of the shoe!!!LOL....Then we came home I set up the computer and did grades inputing assignments and points for over 180 students, my husband and I sad here and had it done in 1 1/2, four classes done two more to go. Then I headed on out the door at 5:15 to take my baseball player to his other teams practice from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Then my dh took my other son to his basketball game at 7:00pm. After baseball practice i headed to the store to buy some "treats" for my husband because he said the pantry was slacking in the "dessert" department!!! he has a serious bad sweet tooth!!! So now I sit here at 10:53 relaxing reading some great blogs and await tomorrow's schedule of two basketball games and one baseball game. Until then, you mama's with little one's don't wish for them to start walking because they will soon enough and before you know it they'll be "running" and you will be running around town with them!!!LOL Have a HAPPY JOYOUS BLESSED SUNDAY!!!

Hi I'm Martha a happyhousewife and mama to three rock'n kids two boy's and a girl. I have been married to my lovely husband for 23 1/2 years. The cheerleader part in my banner has to do with me being a "cheerleader" in my younger years actually from 5 to 17, now I'm my kids biggest cheerleader and my boy's love when there mama can yell louder then any other mother on the field!!!lol.... It's March!!! Where have I been....

I'm sure your all wondering. Ok maybe not ;o).. Can I just first say I forgot my password like for the umpteenth time!!! but this time I was slick I wrote it down..lol Since my last post I have become the mother of a TEENAGER!!!! Noooooooooo, "no me like getting older"!!! My son turned 13 on the 18th of Feb. He actually was acting very calm and cool about it, me on the other hand kept getting all gooberish everytime I looked at him. Like when did he grow up and stop sucking on his "pasifyer"(ok i know I spelled that wrong)..lol Along with that big event Spring Baseball has kicked in and my other son Cole is not one team but two, thanks honey(not). Jake is actually on three teams, but his Jr high team is done, the pic is him shooting a free throw, yeah two points (and the angels sang allelujiah) he has two more games with another team he was asked to join which played a total of 10 games. His AllNet traveling team has thru the end of March then just tournaments from then on out thru the summer. So will be busy the next couple of months for sure. Poor daughter she just runs around with me driving the boys around must put her in dance or cheer, what's one more practice a week?...

Gotta share my other son at bat at his first Pony league game. I need a better camera, at this bat he got a single with a run batted in!!!Yeah "boot" he's my cowboy. By the way it was cooooool this night about 40..... ok ok I know, but remember this is california it's not suppose to be cooooold!!hehehe. Here's a pic of dh in his dad's jacket what a goober....LOL...

I love February!!! Can you believe it it's almost Valentine's then my oldest son will be entering into the TEENAAAAAAAAAGE world!!!!YIIIIIIKE's. I cannot believe my baby boy will be 13 years old....look at him holding a picture of him as a baby and him now,,,isn't he "cuuuute". Time does go by. "Baby boy mama loves you more then you'll ever know....

I can just cry and eat a box full of KRISPY KREME'S!!!

Ok, so I have to take my husband's car to get checked this morning. His brakes were making "noise" and he said his steering wheel was rubbing?? Soooo I go get there 8:00, it's wet and slightly drizzly, I look like a bear in my coat and sweatshirt and I'm cold!!! Get the pic,LOL...The guy tells me he'll be out in an hour to let me know what's up and how much??. Sooo in the little room I go to sit and wait. You ever been in those dealer waiting rooms, this one was small and get this NO COFFEE!!! About an 1 1/2 later I get called out and the guy says "you need front brakes and the racknpin(something like that) in the steering wheel needs to be replaced, it's $1200.00, I say scuuuuuuuuuuuuze me did you say $12 00 not $12.00, one thousand two hundred dollars!!! yes mam!!! HOLY MOTHER OF FRICKING THE ONE WHO CREATED THE EARTH!!!!! ok I thought that but didn't say it out loud!!lol....so immediately I get a stomach ache, I seriously want to cry. My husband is a teacher he works so hard for me to stay home, I was just shocked at the price. So I ask the guy can you tell my husband, he said sure. I call school they transfer me into his class I hand the phone and I can tell my husband is asking a lot of questions....the guy finally says how much. More questions by my husband of course. The guy laughs and covers the phone and says to me "your husband just told his class that he's on a emergency personal call get your books out read a story he doesn't care which story just sit be quiet and read"...lol....that my friends is stress speaking out loud. Hope his class's were well behaved today after this phone call. Sooooooo I get the phone back he ask me how are we going to pay I tell him we have the $$ that was to be used to paint the trim on the house. Sooooo there ya go we have to use that $$. I need another job, ohhh yeah I got hired as a part time merchandiser for Hawwaiin Tropics. ;o).....I can clean a mean toilet and cook mexican food anyone need a maid!!!ugh....The thing is my husband just got a 5% raise and BAM we get hit with this. By the way we spent $800 in Dec and $600 in Oct on the same car!!!! Time to wrap myself in a blanket and eat a pot of rice pudding!!!!

Ovey,,,,is all I can say!!!! Today's show is of course to be about "working mom's and stay at home mom's". Seeing the brief commercials on it yesterday looks like it gets purrrdy heated!! Ok this is MY OPINION and since it's my BLOG I can say what I want!!LOL First I say WE STAY AT HOME MOM'S WORK!!! I understand that there are women that have to work outside the home full time, but ya know I'm really beginning to doubt that in some cases. I think there are families that the mom's have to stay working in order to pay for those "cars, bigger house, current name brand clothes for kids, current games, vacations in the summer, etc.... I dunno I say if you really don't have to work and your only working BECAUSE YOU SAY YOU'LL LOSE YOUR IDENTITY if you don't,,,GET OVER YOURSELF. After I watch the show I'll throw in some more of MY opinions.....hehehe

Ok so I watched let's just say it was disappointing. Let me just say this, not every working mom can do what I do, nor do I think they even want to hence them going to work. The show basically was asking can working mom's have it all. The working mom's seem to think they can, but to me you either give 100% to your job or your family if your working you have to give 100% to your job and your family will suffer. Oprah had on some anchor woman last name "Vargas" they tried to say she made a AGONIZING decesion to stay home, first off she went from ABC ANCHOR WOMAN to working for 20/20, so to me she's not a sahm??? And give me a break why does the decision have to be agonizing?? I'll never forget when I looked at my oldest son at 6 weeks and thought NO WAY am I going to put him in daycare I wanted him so much I could give up my career for HIM!!! ok enough about this..lol
